Cheetopia
November 2008 ––While at Buck Los Angeles, munkowitz helmed a small design squadron to concept, design and animate the graphic overlays for this ridiculously awesome campaign from Goodby Silverstein and Partners. They sought to harness the quirky raddness of the live-action and translate it to a lo-fi, commodore64-inspired graphic language that highlighted key conceptual moments in each spot. They also designed the camera light-leaks, glitches, and the endtag, which came under more revision cycles than the graphics in all three spots combined.
The Film
–– 01Original Styleframes
–– 02Definitely less is more when the backplates are perfection just the way they are. A simple, spacious and minimal language was all that was needed to highlight key parts of the story and provide a unifying touch.

Stand-Alone Endtag
–– 03In addition to the graphic overlays for the aforementioned spots, munkowitz designed and animated these cute, yet strange endtags for the campaign's more widespread yet significantly less radical spots with Chicks bitching at cafes and some other soccer mom and pigeons attack scenario. Peeps love these and nobody knows why.
