InfraMunk vs Hawaii
July 2018 ––During the Summer of 2018, Munko embarked on an ultra-inspiring Photography Adventure through the amazing islands of Hawaii, traveling with his homies from the PhoGøls collective – Jake Sargeant and James Heredia. Together they spent 13 days exploring various sites from all over the islands – volcanoes, lush jungles, sea cliffs, vistas, treacherous crash zones, and astral observatories at 14,000 feet above sea level. All while shooting out of helicopters, boats, on epic hikes on the edge of the existence – essentially pushing themselves to keep it dialed and produce results they could be proud of.
Munko, by this point had proper development with the #InfraMunk collection, captured the terrain using his custom modified Full-Spectrum FujiFilm X-T2 IR, a grip of LifePixel Super-Color Infrared Filters and some Vintage Nikon Manual Focus lenses – together producing some fiercely psychedelic and experimental palettes that portrayed the scenery in an entirely new light.
